Pixar!

Pixar had been an old scene which I didn’t do with these results in mind. Now, the same old scene has been re-created using today’s new hot technologies, to produce the first animated clip that’s designed to be fully viewed in XSI’s real-time viewports. The scene features OGL-real-time shader set-up, simple character rigging, and basic particles simulation, all with key-framed animation. The clip shows my philosophy of using real-time rendering engines to produce next generation of animated movies. And until the day graphics hardware be able to compute mental ray shaders in real-time, we’ll have to live without Final Gathering in real-time!

To learn more about the scene open the "read_me" annotation under the "scene_root".
